Contact us
Email support@pricewarden.drbyte.org. A person reads every message, and we aim to reply within a few business days. It helps to include:
- the email address on your account, if your question is about it;
- your phone model and whether it runs Android or iOS;
- the version of the app you are using;
- for a product question, the barcode number and the store.
We will never ask for your sign-in code or payment details.
Do not send them to anyone, including someone who says they are from
PriceWarden. Our email comes only from addresses ending in
@pricewarden.drbyte.org: sign-in codes and alerts from
alerts@pricewarden.drbyte.org, replies from
support@pricewarden.drbyte.org.
Common questions
My sign-in code has not arrived
Codes usually arrive within a minute. Check your spam or junk folder, and make sure the address you typed is right. Each code works for 10 minutes, and only the most recent one you asked for works. If you ask for several codes in a short time, we stop sending new ones for up to an hour to protect the address. If you deleted your account in the last seven days, you will get an email explaining when the address frees up instead of a code.
How do I cancel a paid plan?
Paid plans are subscriptions with Apple or Google, so you cancel them there:
- iPhone: Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions.
- Android: the Google Play Store app, then your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting your PriceWarden account does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google.
I paid, but my plan has not changed
Open the Plans screen in the app and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the same App Store or Google Play account you paid with. If that does not help, write to us with the order number from the store's receipt.
A price or true total looks wrong
Prices come from stores and data services and can change, so the store's checkout price is always the one that applies. If something looks wrong, write to us with the barcode number, the store, what PriceWarden showed and what the store showed, and roughly when. Check that the province and postal code in your account are right, because taxes and shipping depend on them.
Why are some watchlist entries greyed out?
Each plan has a number of watchlist slots. If you moved to a plan with fewer slots, your oldest entries stay active and the newer ones beyond the new number become read-only: you can see and delete them, but they cannot be changed and send no alerts. Delete an entry to free a slot, or move to a plan with more slots, and read-only entries become active again. The terms set this out.
How do I stop alert emails?
Use the unsubscribe link at the foot of any alert email; it works in one step. You can also turn alerts off in the app.
A store refused my price match card
Each store decides whether to match a price, under its own policy. The card shows the policy as we last checked it and the date of that check. If a store's policy has changed, tell us so we can update it.
Your account and your data
- Delete your account, in the app or by email.
- For a copy of what we hold about you, or to correct it, write to us; see the privacy policy.
Orders and deliveries
PriceWarden does not sell anything, so we cannot see or change an order. For an order, a delivery, a return or a warranty, contact the store you bought from.
Reporting a security problem
Email support@pricewarden.drbyte.org with "Security" in the subject. Please give us a reasonable time to fix the problem before you disclose it.
Do you run a service PriceWarden calls?
The about page explains how PriceWarden's server requests data and how to ask us to change that.
