Delete your PriceWarden account
There are two ways to close your account: do it in the app, or write to us and we will do it. Both are final. Nothing is archived for later, and an account cannot be brought back once it is gone.
For seven days afterwards the address is set aside and cannot open a new account. On the eighth day the last trace of it is erased as well.
In the app
- Open PriceWarden and sign in, if you are signed out.
- Go to Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. The account is removed straight away, together with what price protection keeps for it, and every device you used is signed out.
Without the app
Send a request to support@pricewarden.drbyte.org from the email address your account uses. We act on it within 30 days, and normally far sooner. A message from that address is our proof that you own the account. If you can no longer use that address, say so and we will agree another way of confirming it is you. No one from PriceWarden will ever ask you for a sign-in code.
What happens to your information

Deleting in the app asks price protection to erase its part first. If that cannot get through at that moment, or you asked us by email, we erase the price-protection data by hand. Once the account is deleted, no alert or price-protection notice is sent. Products you scanned remain in PriceWarden's shared product catalogue, which has no record of who scanned them.
A paid subscription is not cancelled by deleting the account. Apple or Google bills it, so only they can end it: cancel it as well, under subscriptions in the App Store or Google Play, or the charges carry on. For a refund of a period already paid, contact the store; refunds are theirs to give, not ours.
Changing your mind
A deleted account cannot be recovered. For seven days the address cannot sign in either: a request for a sign-in code during that week is answered by an email giving the date the address becomes free, not by a code. After that, signing in with the address starts a brand-new account on the free plan, with nothing carried over.
